Why is it, that when your children graduate from high school that we parents are teary eyed and questioning where did the time go? We're proud, but so sad that this child you've spent so many years with will soon be leaving and going off to college.
I remember all of those feelings and that is exactly how I felt. Although I was very happy for him, my heart was heavy because I knew I would miss him. I was feeling sorry for me.....well, it's so funny how things change. I have gone from feeling all of those things to wanting to do the happy dance, because HE HAS FINALLY GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE!!!! It only took 5 short years (long if you have to pay for it), for him to get his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University's Russ College of Engineering. I couldn't be more proud of him. That is a tuff degree to get, they all are really, but for him being an average student in high school math, to make it through all the math courses that engineering requires, is truly a triumph for him. He has always had the hands on ability with anything mechanical, but books would give him a problem, but through a strong will and determination (or just plain stubborness) HE MADE IT!
Congratulations Greg! I love you and I'm very proud of you. My only question now is, IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT NEEDS A GOOD, HARD WORKING ENGINEER???
Lol, actually he is currently doing an internship with a company to gain more experience.
